Adoptions: children
WITH AN ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION OF CHF 600.00 YOU CAN HELP POOR CHILDREN FROM LADAKH TO STUDY AT THE " NEW MILLENNIUM CHILDREN SCHOOL"
Since India obtained independence in 1947, many schools have been opened in Ladakh. At the beginning teachers were coming from Kashmir, but there were some troubles as their native language, Ladakhi, was not used for teaching, and the children were speaking Urdu.
This problem has been in part solved, but the average level of public school is
low and many children cannot go to classes as they live very far from schools. There are also some private schools, whose level is pretty good but they're too expensive for most of the population.
The Child Welfare Society in Leh (our local partner), with our help started a project for the realization of a school to give the chance to study to 160 children coming from the poorest and farthest parts of the country.

The annual contribution is set to CHF 600.00
